Almost every page of this book has a large upclose picture of a kawari kabuto on it. Over 100 pictures of kawari kabutos from the late Muromachi through the beginning of the Meiji period. This book was released very recently at the new exhibition of Kawari kabutos that was put on display by the Kinki Chapter of the Nihon Kachu Bugu Kenkyu Hozon Kai. It is a very nice book with Romanization of the names for the particular types of kabutos with time periods also written in English. This particular copy is my personal copy of this book which is brand new. As I saw the display in person I don't really need the book. In my opinion the Kinki chapter was too liberal with the time periods, but the pictures and the information is great. It is partially organized with the kabutos organized into styles. There are many kabutos in here that you will not be able to view again because they are in private collections only to come out for the purpose of the NKBKHK's annual meeting.
