Brass Tachi Kanagushi Tsuba

A brass (shinchu) tsuba covered front and back with flower-shaped punch marks in concentric circles.  The punches are well executed, of uniform depths and density.  The hitsu-ana are original, as indicated by the punch marks flowing around the hitsu.  This tsuba is thus considered UBU or unaltered since its production date. 

Very appealing size and colour, and a nice early brass tachi kanagushi tsuba.
