Yamgane Tsuba
This small octagonal tsuba was likely mounted on a tanto or smaller wakizashi. An example of tachi kanagushi work, it is made of either yamagane or a low tin bronze. Vertical yasurime over both sides of the plate and retain black lacquer although the plate does not, suggesting it may have been applied for visual effect. Rich colour and wet patina.
