Ko Shoami Bronze Tsuba

Oval plate with raised rounded rim and an early elongated oval kozuka-ana.  Made of bronze.  Hard to tell if the rim is a fukurin, or is cast.   Overall this is a very well made early tsuba.   Attributed to ko Shoami in Bunka no naka no tosogu (Sword furnishings as part of the culture) by Hashimoto Haruo.

Early Muromachi Period (14th c.)

6.2 x 5.95x 0.25cm at seppadai and 0.35cm at the rim
