HYOUTAN KO KATCHUSHI TSUBA
This tsuba is a nice example of a late sengoku period katchushi tsuba.
The plate has a dark brown-black patina with fine granular texture.
There are linear tekkotsu present which may be an indication of
lamination. The sukashi motif is of gourds (hyoutan) and the
character for “Ichi” (one).
